Roche Cove Park Trail in Sooke BC
Located in East Sooke and accessible from Gillespie Road, Roche Cove Regional Park spans 163 hectares of lush vegetation, mossy slopes and cedar forests. The Roche Cove Trail leads to Kellett Point, which overlooks the Sooke Basin and the far-off Washington State Olympic Mountains; and, grassy flats along the way make great spots to rest or picnic.

From the parking lot, hikers have several choices, with varying degrees of difficulty:

Matheson Creek Trail:
This trail follows the creek through a forest lush with bracken fern and a grove of western red cedars.

Cedar Grove Trail:
A 2-hour moderately challenging hike, the stimulating Cedar Grove Trail is an excellent choice.

Galloping Goose Trail:
The parking lot at Roche Cove is a great access point to the “Goose” – an excellent path for walking, cycling or horseback riding.
