Matheson Lake Regional Park, Sooke BC
Matheson Lake Park Road, off West Coast Highway 14 is the access point for Matheson Lake Regional Park. The park spans 162 hectares and is shared by the municipalities of Sooke and Metchosin. Matheson Lake is one of the natural wonders with the park, and is a peaceful, setting for swimming, canoeing or kayaking, picnicking, fresh-water fishing or simply kicking back and relaxing. Facilities within the park include parking, pit toilets and a designated beach area for swimming.
Access to the thickly forested, steep footpath to Mount Matheson is located on the Metchosin side of the park. Conveniently, the park is linked to adjacent Roche Cove Regional Park via the Galloping Goose Trail.
