DiscoverSooke.com CONTEST RULES & REGULATIONS

CONTEST PERIOD:

Each contest commences on the first day it is posted on the www.discoversooke.com website or on the first day an email is sent to DiscoverSooke.com members inviting them to participate in contest, whichever is applicable, and ends on the date set out on the applicable website posting or email. For each Contest, the commencement time will be 12:00:01 a.m. Pacific Standard Time and the ending or closing time will be at 11:59:59 p.m. Pacific Standard Time. Each Contest is sponsored by DiscoverSooke.com.

ELIGIBILITY: NO PURCHASE NECESSARY.

This Contest is open to all active users of the DiscoverSooke.com website as of the commencement of the contest. If Entrant is under the age of majority in the province in which he/she resides at the time of entry into the Contest, Entrant must have the consent of his/her parent or legal guardian. Employees, agents and representatives of the Sponsor and their respective subsidiaries and affiliates and each of their respective advertising and promotion agencies are not eligible to win, nor are the parents, siblings and children of any such employee, agent or representative or any person with whom such employee, agent or representative is domiciled.

PRIZES:

The details of the prize or prizes to be won in each Contest will be set out in the respective Contest Invitation.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE:

The Contest is offered electronically via the Internet. All Entrants may enter the Contest by entering their email address and given name in the Contest Invitation and subsequent instructions set out therein. Each site user is permitted one entry per Contest. If selected as awinner, Entrant(s) must present DiscoverSooke.com a correct mailing address, in order to claim a prize.

CONTEST DRAW(S):

Draws will be held on the day following the close of the Contest Period ("Draw Date") from all eligible entries received. Winner(s) will be determined by random drawing from all eligible entries received by Sponsor at the close of the Contest Period. The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.

PRIZE AWARDING:

Prizes will be awarded only on verification by Sponsor that all contest requirements have been met by the winner(s). Each prize must be accepted as awarded and no substitution, transfer, conversion or assignment of prizes will be allowed, unless at the discretion of the Sponsor which may substitute a prize of comparable or greater value. No correspondence will be entered into except with selected Entrants at the email address provided to Sponsor. Sponsor will notify the winner by email within five (5) business days of the Draw Date. The winner will have five (5) calendar days from notification to respond by email to accept the prize, and will be instructed by return email from Sponsor whom to contact at that time. Sponsor is not responsible for and shall not be liable for late, lost, misdirected, or unsuccessful efforts to notify the winner. If a selected Entrant does not respond or cannot otherwise be contacted within the allotted time, Sponsor reserves the right to void that entry and select another eligible Entrant for that prize. The Entrant gives permission to the Sponsor and at their option, to publish or otherwise use the Entrant’s name, city of residence and comments, without compensation, on the irewards website as well as in any publicity or promotion carried out by the Sponsor or their respective advertising agencies. Each prize will be delivered by the Sponsor to the official winner, at the mailing address provided by Entrant to Sponsor, within two (2) to three (3) weeks after Sponsor has been contacted and mailing information has been verified.

CONTEST GENERAL RULES:

By entering the Contest, Entrants agree to abide by these Contest Rules and Regulations and the decisions of Sponsor, which are final. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to modify or terminate the Contest or the Contest Rules at any time, without notice, and for any reason. All entries become the property of Sponsor and will not be returned and no correspondence will be made with or entered into except with the selected Entrants and confirmed Winners.

QUEBEC RESIDENTS:

Any litigation respecting the conduct or organization of a publicity contest may be submitted to the Regié des alcools, des courses et des jeux for a ruling. Any litigation respecting the awarding of a prize may be submitted to the Regié only for the purpose of helping the parties reach a settlement.

DISQUALIFICATION:

Sponsor is not responsible for lost, interrupted or unavailable network server or other connections, miscommunications, failed telephone or computer or telephone transmissions or technical failure, jumbled, scrambled or misdirected transmissions, or other error of any kind whether human, mechanical or electronic. Persons found tampering with or abusing any aspect of this Contest or the operation of the DiscoverSooke.com website or any other Sponsor-hosted website, as determined by Sponsor, in its sole discretion, will be disqualified. If disqualified for any of the above abuses, Sponsor reserves the right to terminate the Entrant’s eligibility to participate in a Contest. In the event any portion of a Contest is compromised at any time by a computer virus, bug, non-authorized human intervention or other causes beyond the control of Sponsor which in the opinion of Sponsor corrupts or impairs the administration, security, fairness or proper entry into the contest, Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to suspend or terminate the Contest and to award prize(s) to individuals selected at from the pool of Entrants received up to the point of termination. In no event will more prizes be awarded than those listed in the Contest Rules and Regulations. Furthermore, Sponsor will not be responsible if any factor beyond their reasonable control, including weather, event cancellations, strike, lockout or any other labour dispute at their locations or the locations of any other organization or business whose services are used to fulfill this Contest, prevent the Prize or any component of the Prize from being fulfilled. In any such event, the Winner will not be provided with a substitute Prize or a substitute component of the Prize, as applicable, except at Sponsor’s sole discretion.

TAX INFORMATION:

Liability for any applicable taxes imposed by any government, if any, on any prize won is the sole responsibility of the winner of such prize.

APPLICABLE LAWS:

This Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws. The Contest is governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.

PRIZE DISCLAIMER:

The Sponsor is the sponsor of this contest and is solely responsible for the delivery of a prize to an official winner, as declared by Sponsor. By participating in the Contest, each Entrant agrees to release and hold harmless Sponsor and the employees, officers, directors, shareholders, agents, ,its parent company, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising, promotion, and fulfillment agencies, harmless from any and all losses, damages, rights, claims and actions of any kind in connection with the Contest or resulting from acceptance, possession, or use of any prize, including without limitation, personal injury, death, and property damage, and claims based on publicity rights, defamation, or invasion of privacy.
