There are many high quality fishing events each year in Western Canada, and the Vancouver Island Salmon Classic has been created to challenge anglers and reward them with a 4 star experience while offering them excellent odds to win their share of $175,000 in prize money as well as other prizes.

The Vancouver Island Salmon Classic has been 10 years in the planning and offers participating teams from all over a chance to enjoy the fertile fishing grounds of Southern Vancouver Island.

Southern Vancouver Island offers year round salmon fishing, halibut fishing (seasonal), crabbing and sight seeing only minutes from most marinas.

The fishing experience is often enhanced by the guides you choose. The experienced Vancouver Island guide can introduce anglers to 3 species of salmon, drop a line for halibut and pull a crab pot on your way back to the docks all in one day.

The Vancouver Island Classic welcomes all anglers to participate while limitations only provide the maximum of 55 teams to be involved. Teams can bring their own vessel or charter a guide. Guides are also welcome to put their company name on the line and register their own team and fill their seats.

The ultimate goal is that the Vancouver Island Salmon Classic challenges the best anglers to fish some of the most fertile fishing grounds and then crowns the champion with prize money that only few anglers can imagine.
