Sooke’s Sushi on the Sea
We had the fine pleasure of attending Sooke’s Sushi on the Sea’s Valentine’s Day – All You Can Eat Sushi Dinner. Kari put together an amazing platter of Sushi for the many tables that had reserved for this special night out. Along with the sushi we enjoyed a bottle of wine, veggies, miso soup, rice and AMAZING prawns, which tasted like they could have been in a mustard/horseradish sauce? We also had some fine desserts or two, heck, who was keeping track.? We invited another couple to join us and neither of them had a lot of sushi experience, so this was a great chance for them to learn in a warm, inviting and relaxing atmosphere.
I’ve had sushi from many places and Kari definitely knows how to make fresh and tasty sushi. We really enjoyed our night with our couple friends, although I ate far too much, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Sushi on the Sea to anyone in the Greater Victoria area who is looking for a unique sushi experience.
This night they had us eating at their bed and breakfast, as to the large numbers who reserved, but normally the sushi is eaten on the 80 foot vessel ROLANO, moored on their private wharf in Sooke, BC.
Sushi On the Sea only seats 8 guests, with two sittings at 6:00 and 8:00 Friday and Saturday evenings. Small intimate dining on the harbour.
