Le Sooke Spa – Relax and Rejuvenate.
I had the pleasure to visit Le Sooke Spa at 2915 Otter Point Rd. in Sooke, today. The owner, Michelle Bohn, asked us to come down to take some photographs of the inside of the spa and to show us around. I had driven by the spa many times before but I had never stepped foot into their building, so I was excited to see what Le Sooke Spa had to offer.
I have heard many great things from my wife’s friends, all whom highly recommend the wonderful service and spa treatments from LeSooke Spa. Not being a Spa Affectionado, I wasn’t sure what to expect upon my arrival.
When I pulled up the driveway I first noticed the surrounding area. It’s tucked back off the main road surrounded by the Sooke hills in the backdrop, very quaint and very quiet indeed. The 1000sq/ft wood building was clean and tidy from the outside and presented itself well with a large cedar wrap around deck and wall mounted waterfall.
I opened the door and walked into the reception area. The lighting was superb. I had an idea of what I might expect since I’ve seen many spa photos before and this didn’t disappoint. It was certain that Michelle and her team achieved the goal they were after when they created this relaxation haven. Wood, lots of wood. Wooden floors, wooden doors, wood all around. The colour palette chosen on the walls were of earth tones. The faint sound of relaxing music filled the rooms and it had a very relaxing aroma to the whole area. Certainly not an overpowering aroma by any means, but it lingered in the air.
I was greeted by Michelle at the front desk. Her welcoming smile and presence were felt right away You could tell she has a passion for what she does and what she offers her clients. I stood there and took it all in for a moment. Although I wasn’t there for a treatment, I immediately felt relaxed in this space.
After a brief discussion and walk around, I started to take my photos. I went into each of the 3 treatment rooms, each different than the other one. One had an Infra-Red Sauna, one had a large tub for mud soaks. All had massage tables that were neatly pressed with white linens.
While I was working I met 2 different staff members and watched how they interacted with their clients coming in for their treatments. Needless to say I was extremely impressed to see their approach to greeting and making sure each of their clients got the pampering and care they came for. It was a genuine care. You could tell these professional technicians loved what they did and it showed. Having worked in the service industry I know how important it is to treat your clients with respect and care. I was overly impressed and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Le Sooke Spa to any of my family and friends.
In fact I may have to book myself an appointment really soon.
If you haven’t been to Le Sooke Spa I would highly suggest you book an appointment with Michelle and her staff. You won’t be disappointed.
I can’t begin to tell you what vast amount of services they offer so I’ll let their website do the talking. Please click here to view the Le Sooke Spa website.
