Discover Sooke

Come out and witness some crazy people venturing into the chilly waters at Whiffen Spit on New Years Day. Or maybe you are one of those crazy people venturing into the cold waters to shake off the cheer from the night before.

The Otter Point Fire Dept. is hosting this annual event at Whiffen Spit. The swim starts at noon. I don’t have confirmation of this but if you’d like to enter, I’d think that you should be at Whiffen Spit around 11am to register.

I’ll be there with the Coast Guard Auxiliary to assist if needed. I look forward to seeing you all there.

I’m apologize for not having more information on this event at this time. I do know that it will start at noon at Whiffen Spit.
