Jan. 1, 2009 – Sooke Annual Polar Bear Swim at Whiffen Spit

Come out and witness some crazy people venturing into the chilly waters at Whiffen Spit on New Years Day. Or maybe you are one of those crazy people ventuing into the cold waters to shake off the cheer from the night before.

The Otter Point Fire Dept. is hosting this annual event at Whiffen Spit. The swim starts at noon. I don’t have confirmation of this but if you’d like to enter, I’d think that you should be at Whiffen Spit around 11am to register.
