Sooke Youth Speak!

Apply now to join the Sooke Youth Council.

If you are between ages 13 and 21, live in the Sooke Region (Beecher Bay to Port Renfrew), and want to represent the youth voice in our community, then we want to hear from you….

Sooke Youth Speak represents Sooke’s young people, their experiences, diversity and knowledge. We are looking for youth who want to work together to create opportunities, take an active role in the community… and have fun! No experience necessary.

SYS is an organization that aims to give the youth of Sooke a voice in their community. We want to make it easy for members to be involved and choose an area in which to be active. First step: develop a Youth Council of people between the ages of 13-21. The council will work on team-building activities, decide how they want to do things, what they want to see happen, and what projects to work on this year.

To contact Sooke Youth Speak by email, please send an email too. (The address is sys [at] sookeyouth [dot] ca.)

To contact SYS by phone, you can call Jen Harrison at 250.216.8389.

If you are at the high school during the day, you can drop by the program office and speak to Roberta MacDonald, or if you are at SEAPARC, stop in and talk to Dan Ovington. We are all happy to answer your questions.

Now is the time to get involved! Be a voice, not an echo.
